Post on a thread | Edit a comment

On the site, we use forums to discuss topics more broadly.  While similar to the commenting we use on stories and web posts, we'll use the forum threads to explore specific topics and themes.  These include futuristic themes, writing  topics and site support questions.

Post on a thread

There are two ways to post on a thread.  The first is as a reply to the original forum post.  The second is to reply to a reply.  Each of these is considered a thread, with some branching as various conversations occur.

Once you identify whether you are replying to the original forum post or to another member's comments, you can identify which process to use:  

Post on the forum

• Enter the topic you wish to discuss.
• Click on the 'Quick reply' button located above the original forum post.

• Enter a subject and your comment, then click 'Save' at the bottom of the page.

Reply to a post (comment)

• Locate the post to which you want to reply.  
• Locate the reply button 
• This will open the comment to which you are replying with a comment text form open below.
• Enter a subject and your comment, then click 'Save' at the bottom of the page.

Edit a comment

This is only available to the writer of the post or reply.  Below your post or reply are three options: delete, edit and reply.
